Until farmers moved into the house next door on their shared property in Ridgefield, CT and established Dancing Dog Farm; Kaname Tanaka had no idea she would enjoy farming.  Learning about sustainable farming practices has been an eye opening experience and Kana is regularly surprised at how much she enjoys getting her hands dirty. 

Kana has a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a focus in textiles and printmaking.  She balances work as the Global IT Systems Manager for a firm in Greenwich, CT by spending her creative energy baking, canning and documenting her farm related learning experiences on DDF through pictures. Kana is passionate about good food and strongly believes in the importance of sustainable agriculture and food production.
